With the recent death of Zig Ziglar, it’s likely that you’ve been seeing lots of his quotes and videos all over the web. I personally “met” Zig when I was a teenager while working at local company that distributed motivational tapes. The owner of the company was a very wise man…he played the tapes as his mostly teenage staff filled and labeled boxes to be sent to customers. I’m not sure how much of it sunk in, but I do remember the above quote by Zig, and have thought of it often through the years.
Have you ever wondered why some people succeed in the Network Marketing industry while others try one business after another only to find themselves broker than when they began?
The truth is, every marketer has access to the same resources and training.
The difference? A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E!
If you don’t have the right attitude, you are much more likely to face more challenges than those who do.
The good news? You can give yourself an attitude adjustment, actually re-programming your brain with the right attitude!
Here are 6 must have attitude adjustments necessary for Network Marketing success:
1. Believe in your product
It goes without saying that If you don’t believe in the product or service that you’re selling, it will be very difficult for you to recommend it to potential customer. I would venture to say that if you don’t value your products, it’s quite possible that are in the wrong business!
However, you may be suffering from a lack of belief…in yourself, in the industry, in the price of the products. If this is the case, re-evaluate your company’s products and services. Do they fill a need? Are they valuable to the people who use them? If so, keep those negative thoughts at bay. Instead of thinking, “This product is too expensive. Nobody is going to buy it,” think “How can I show my potential customers the true value of this product.”
2. Be like a sponge and soak it in…but don’t stop there
The knowledge, that is. Most network marketing companies have extensive training designed with one goal in mind…to help you succeed. Learn everything you can, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, put your new found skills into action!
3. Quit making excuses
You are the CEO of your own business. Act like it! It’s 100% up to you to make it work. Hit a slump? Seek out advice from a trusted mentor and get moving. Know zip about getting your page ranked high in the search engines? As a friend and mentor of mine says, “Google has the answers to all of life’s questions.” Think like the entrepreneur you are and find the answers you need! The ugly truth? You’ll never grow your business if you keep making excuses.
4. Stop the blame game
Period. It’ll get you nowhere to blame your upline, your products, your training or your kids. Get over it and get moving in the right direction!
5. Stay positive!
Instead of giving up when you hit a roadblock, meet the challenge head on. Get the right mindset training by listening to and reading motivational material daily. It will get you through those times when you feel like giving up!
6. Have fun!
Do what you love and love what you do! This will make you a magnet for your customers, your downline, and industry leaders!
As you implement these six easy attitude adjustments, you’ll be amazed at the difference you’ll see in both your business and your life!
